German Paint and Color Association: Dr. Philipp Frank is the new CEO.

Dr. Philipp Frank will become the new Managing Director of the German Association for Painting, Design and Building Protection (Bundesverband Farbe Gestaltung Bautenschutz) on May 1, 2026. He brings many years of management experience.

Dr. Philipp Frank will take over the management of the Federal Association of Paint Design Building Protection as CEO. The general meeting elected him on April 14, 2026, as the successor to Mathias Bucksteeg.

Professional background and expectations

Frank has 18 years of management and leadership experience in chambers of commerce, local government, and the private sector. Previously, he headed, among other things, the Department for Economic Policy and Strategic Issues at... Saarland Chamber of Industry and Commerce as well as corporate communications and SME and regional policy at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Black Forest-Baar-HeubergBetween 2015 and 2023, he was the mayor of the large district town.
