Board elections at the Federal Guild Association of the Automotive Trade: Detlef Peter Grün and Jeffrey Kilian were confirmed in their positions. Thomas Schacht succeeds Michael Kraft.

The Federal Guild Association (BIV) of the automotive trade elected its new board on July 7, 2026. At their meeting in Munich, members voted to re- elect Detlef Peter Grün as Federal Guild Master and Chairman of the Board . Jeffrey Kilian continues to serve as his deputy . Thomas Schacht, a master automotive technician, is a new addition to the three-member board , replacing Michael Kraft.

The BIV stated in a press release that the association's work in the coming years will focus primarily on reliable framework conditions for automotive businesses in the context of technological change, as well as securing skilled workers and providing strong training and further education.
