Carpentry trade donates record sum

For the fourth time, Tischler NRW (a carpenters' association in North Rhine-Westphalia) collected donations for the WDR Christmas Miracle campaign. A total of almost €124.705 was raised, setting a new donation record.

Last year, the Carpenters' Association NRW the WDR Christmas Miracle The carpentry trade in North Rhine-Westphalia has set a new donation record, with €124.704,92 raised. Funds were collected at the MHH Erlebniswelten trade fair, open house events, guild activities, and Christmas markets.

This year, many guilds, including those from Bonn/Rhein-Sieg, Heinsberg, Herford, Solingen, and the North Rhine-Westphalia Carpenters' Association, participated in the Christmas Miracle with various activities. The Düren-Jülich guild even remained active at the Christmas market at Merode Castle for several days after the Christmas Miracle had officially ended, raising over €16.000 in donations there alone within two weeks.

In addition, the Alliance Action Germany Helps, for which the donations of the Christmas miracle are collected, the campaign of Tischler NRW at the Christmas market in Essen is supported by giving away the solid wood table lamps in part for high donation sums.

The table lamp with its solar panel, manufactured under fair working conditions by the company Sonnenglas, was just one of three products with which the North Rhine-Westphalia Carpenters' Association raised funds under the motto "We illuminate the Christmas miracle." Other items included customizable candle holders and craft kits for making veneer stars. The tried-and-tested birdhouse kits were also available again.
