Jörg Dittrich, President of the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts, has honored Alf Reuter, President of the Federal Guild Association for Orthopedic Technology, with the highest award of the German skilled crafts.
Alf Reuter, President of the Federal Guild Association for Orthopedic Technology , has received the highest award of the German skilled trades. Jörg Dittrich, President of the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts, presented him with the Gold Craftsman's Badge in Leipzig. In his laudatory speech, Dittrich praised Reuter's many years of voluntary commitment to the orthopedic technology trade: "Alf Reuter has given his profession far more than technical expertise. He has given it a voice. Orthopedic technology often works behind the scenes, yet with great impact: It restores a degree of mobility to people after severe blows of fate, enables independence, and opens up participation in life."
This deserves attention and strong advocates. Alf Reuter is one such advocate, and the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts is grateful to have him on its side. He rightfully deserves the Gold Craftsman's Badge for his service. Reuter has been committed to representing the interests of healthcare trades at the state and federal levels for many years. Furthermore, he is active in numerous health policy and professional committees, advocating for high-quality, locally accessible assistive devices.

"I am very pleased to receive this special award. It is also a recognition of our entire craft and of everyone who dedicates themselves every day to providing care for people," Reuter explained after the award ceremony.
